Want To Know More About Green Energy And Why You Need It

Want To Know More About Green Energy And Why You Need It
Almost every one of you might be familiar with the word "green energy" and you might also know what it exactly is, how it works and why we need it but today I am going to explain what green energy really is in simple words for those you are new to this term. Green energy is a source of energy which provides us with electricity but like any other energy source it does not cause any harm to the environment and it is also easily renewable. For example, if you want to know what are the other sources of energy that causes harm to our environment then my answer would be simply fossil fuel which we all know how harmful is for us and our surroundings. There are different sources of green energy around us and they are easy to use to get electricity from them. Now, let's get to know each type and how they distinguish from each other.

TYPES OF "GREEN ENERGY" SOURCES AND THEIR DIFFERENCES:

* SOLAR POWER: It is a form of green energy that has been used everywhere in the world since a long time. It is a form of energy that uses the sunlight directly and converts the rays of sunlight into electricity. They can be easily used anywhere by installing solar cells on the roofs of the buildings but this is only applicable for countries where sunlight is available.

* WINDMILL: It is a source of green energy where the wind energy is used to convert into a useful form of energy. In this case, a windmill is used and when the wind spins the conductor on the windmill, power is thus generated. This power is used to charge batteries or inverter which is then used to provide electricity at homes or workplaces.

* GEOTHERMAL: Geothermal means a kind of energy source that generates power by determining the temperature of the earth matter. It basically occurs from different radioactive decay of minerals, such as volcanic activities and also the solar energy that is absorbed from the earth surface.

* NUCLEAR: It occurs due to nuclear reaction which are different kinds of commercial plants uses nuclear reactions to heat up water and when steam is produced it is used to generate electricity.

* HYDRO: It is a kind of energy source where power is generated by hydropower. Electricity is generated with the help of gravitational force from water falls.

ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES OF GREEN ENERGY:

* "Green energy" has no impact on the environment because it is clean.

* There is no maintenance cost when using green energy.

* It provides economic rewards in certain places and makes tourism strong.

* To set up the green energy equipment we need lot of space and if we cut our farmland then we are risking our environment.

* It is very much costly to develop the "green energy" systems.

* It is not possible to install the "green energy" sources in every part of the world because not everywhere we can find waves of water or geological segments.
